Spring Hair

hair ideas
Welcome friends! I haven't posted in a long time, but it's now or never. Today, I'm dedicating my post to hair.

FIRST OF ALL I'd like to point out affordable shampoos and conditioners. Personally, I've tried out many types of conditioners, including high end ones. However, I BELIEVE that these work just as well.

Recently, I've cut my hair, and short hair is the best thing ever. I chopped off about four inches, so my hair is shoulder length. The beauty of short hair is that it's easy to manage, and in my opinion, looks fresh and polished.

I'm not all for the messy Alexa Chung curls, which she does rock, since I try to minimize as much heat as possible. I wash my hair about every 3 days, but before you freak, I shower everyday, I just don't wash my hair because every time you shampoo, you are stripping it of your natural oils, and it deteriorates hair after a while. I also don't dye my hair, so it's all natural, but if you are looking for a different color, try lemon juice. Just simply apply juice to strands of hair, and step outside and soak up the sunshine for about an hour. The UV rays from the sun are able to soak deep into the hair that way, bleaching it naturally. I believe deeply in keeping everything natural, and I never put any products in my hair, since it can cause build up.

Since I dislike heavy and oil stripping shampoo, I use the Pantene Aqua Shampoo that contains no sulfates, and it's light, so it'll give you lots of volume. Sulfate shampoo rids the hair of gunk, while keeping it healthy.

For conditioner, I love using Dove and coconut based products. I find that you do need conditioner in your roots or the scalp, since it keeps it at a healthy level of moisture without letting the scalp dry off and flake or having over oily hair. If you add a little bit of conditioner, it keeps your hair looking healthy.

STYLE:
Now that it's Spring, I love the idea of bohemian hair bands with flowers and braids. Of course, it would look gorgeous if you had long hair, and you can experiment with lots of accessories. Bows have an element of girlishness and I recommend it if you're dressing up.

PS. I'll be back

Spring into the Season

I'd like to start off with the fact that I'm really sorry for not posting in such a long time. So Today, I've thought of a cute yet fun post, starring my best friend, nail polish. So Essie has been a long time favorite of mine, since they are exceptional quality and you can purchase them at so many places. I also love the creative names they've come up for the shades, and how many they are. I chose some colors that I thought were fit for Spring.Nail Polishes for Spring
The first color on the top left is simply something to adore. This color has red, orange and pink mixed up, giving it a candy apple vibe. However, the true name of the shade is hip-anema . This color is so bright and gorgeous, and it's very cheerful.

The color next to it on the right is a bubblegum pink, and it resembles a very girly pink, almost barbie like. This color reminds me of the cherry blossoms, and it's a spectacular color for the season. The colors true name is Madison Ave-Hue, which is perfect for it's New York Vibe.

If you look down to the left, you see a gorgeous pink. You may think it's the same as the one before, but it's actually different. This one makes me think about cotton candy, and it seems a couple of shades lighter than the last. I love this nail polish and it's my favorite out of the whole collection. I think this baby pink really compliments every outfit. The name of this polish is Tart Deco.

Let's skip to the blue nail polish in the blue frame. Immediately, I thought of the beach, or a nice clear blue sky. This color reminds me of the ocean because of how rich it is, and how lovely this looks on nails. It also reminds me of the sky because this brings back memories of how much I cherish good weather days. The name of this shade is avenue maintain.

Last but not least, we have a grasshopper green. This color looks great on all nails, do to how deep and rich in color it is. I also loved how gold looked so nice with it. This color can be worn any season since it also reminds me of Christmas, yet it is also wearable for spring.

I also recommend adding a base coat before you apply any nail polish. This can protect your real nails. A special treatment you can do to pamper nails is applying some olive or almond oil to them and then wash off.

Adding a top coat can secure your whole look, and prevent from cracking. Top coats also provide a nice glossy shine. If you prefer matte nails, watch this video I found. Like she said in the video, "lighting two candles with one flame". You can make use of steam, and it's more Earth Friendly and affordable.

I hope you enjoy Spring and I wish you all a HAPPY EASTER!

Fashion INdustry: VOLUME I: Harry Potter's Influnece Through Fashion

Reading the whole Harry Potter Series has made me feel like I live in a whole other world. As I read these books, it makes me want to become a witch, too. I know many people couldn't care less about Harry Potter, but the looks in the movies are simply amazing. I know many people don't like this series, or simply don't even bother to touch it of read a single book. However, don't judge a book by it's cover because sometimes, your brain is worth more than your beauty.

Emma Watson Harry PotterHarry Potter has influenced the fashion world. I remember reading an article in the New York Times about it and all the brands that have been inspired from it.

Today, I decided I would create the epic Harry Potter Post, featuring many outfits from Characters.

One of the most influential Characters was Hermione Granger. The book describes her as a bushy haired Miss Know it all. Although she does have a unique style in the movies(the robe) we wouldn't really want to wear that anywhere outside. Usually, she's wear a blouse inside a sweater, and a tie to go ever it with a skirt and robes.

I decided to change that look, to a more everyday look. So, since Hogwarts uniforms are very formal, a blazer is a perfect way to emphasize it. I added a knit miniskirt, and I love how it has texture to create a more modern looking skirt. Then I added a white blouse with cute designs on them to glam up the look. Since the character Hermione isn't very girly to due all of her dangerous missions or adventures, I added a pair of combat boots.

Hermione has a really influential style, since she is a tomboy, with a sharp formal look, but sometimes, she'll be very dressy. In the first few books, she was wearing rather nerdy like sweaters, that were very fluffy and had those fluff balls on them. The interesting thing was the style eventually changed, and her style became more modern and chic.
Bellatrix Lestrange
There's nothing worng taking inspiration from a mass murderer(sounds weird). Behind all her years in a dreaded prison, even Harry believed that she had beauty once before. Although after she was reunited with her master, she appeared as a big role in the movies and book. Whenever I see Bellatrix, she is always wearing a really long black maxi dress. However, the lace really gives it a dark vibe, and her style is definitely very edgy.

Lord Voldemort's sidekick embraced her own evil powers, too. Bellatrix is loyal, but to the wrong people. Her style is very influential, because her Gothic themed outfits still seem rather high fashioned. However, when I'm watching the movies, I'm always wondering how she got her hair to look like that.
Luna Lovegood
Luna Lovegood's style does seem even more appealing than Hermione. Luna's style is all about layering, and wearing what she likes whether it matches or not. Whenever I see Luna in the movies, she is wearing atweed jacket or coat. I really love the texture, and it really reminds me of Luna. As seen in the movies, she's always wearing a plain top, but in many scenes, she wears a peter pan collared one. In the Order Of Phoenix on the Hogwarts's express, she wears a starry patterned skirt, and a pair of Opaque dark blue tights. Since she's always on an adventure, she's often wearing boots. To top it all off, Luna is often found with a beautiful knit bag, or a beanie. However, you can't forget about the glasses!

Luna Lovegood is known for her radishes as earrings, and her braveness and loyalty. Although Harry thought she was rather weird in the beginning, her personality eventually shines through. In the book, it describes her as a dreamy eyed girl, and it always seemed like she was in the clouds. However, Luna can never be seen without reading the magazine "The Quibbler" upside down!

I hope you enjoyed the post!

Recipe for a Remedy

What do you need to feel better? Fashion's part of it, but with Beauty, that's different. Today, I will teach you how to create your own spa, at home!Recipe for an all better sick day

All the Beauty Products have been laid before your eyes. I know you can't see, but the first is a face mask. When you're sick, you can treat yourself with a mask, and even on normal days. This one here is by The Body Shop, and they can get expensive. I found a way to make two simple and easy ones.

For anti acne( stop breaking out )
After Microwaved
What you will need:
~three tablespoons of honey
~one tablespoon cinnamon
~microwaveable bowl

Take a clean bowl and distribute the materials into the bowl. Mix the two ingredients together, until you get a well mixed look. It should have some texture, and it should look like melted chocolate. Then, place your bowl into the microwave for thirty seconds as it warms up. Carefully take it out, and wait for it to become warm, instead of hot. Apply this with a brush to your face. Tip: Tie hair up or style away from the face. It may cause this mask to stick to your hair. After 10 minutes, rinse off!
Thanks Michelle phan for this awesome video!

  For Hydration
What you will need:
~Two Tablespoons of honey
~One tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive oil.
~One bowl

Take a clean bowl and mix in the honey and oil. Mix well. Then, microwave for 20 seconds. Carefully take it out, and apply to face. Rinse off after 5 minutes.

Bubble Bath:)

Happiness, a long hot bath. Baths can be soothing, especially after you exercise or if you're just tired or cold. It's good to treat yourself, and you'll enjoy every second of it. I love bubble baths, and I own many. My favorite is Moonlight Path, which has a very lavender like scent. I can't describe it, but it's perfect after a long exhausting day. You can also try Bath Salts. I found out how to make my own bubble bath.

Making your own bubble bath can save a lot of money, and it's fun, too. It's been really cold outside, and this is a perfect remedy to get yourself going, or just relaxing. I recommend doing this after you come home, and rather not in the morning.

What you will need:
~1/2 cup baby shampoo
~3/4 cup water
~salt
~a few drops of essential oil( Lavender and Lemon smell pretty nice
~pretty bottle or bottle
Mix the baby shampoo and water, with a few pinches of salt in a bowl. Stir in the essential oil. Pour the mixture into a bottle. Make sure it is plastic, so it won't break. This is very simple, and you may decorate with stickers!

When I'm bored, I paint my nails. I think that being sick, can also turn in a pamper yourself day. Try experimenting and having fun to boost your spirits up. Make sure you also get plenty of rest, and listen to some music!

I hope you found this post helpful! Tell me about what you like to do to make yourself feel better in the comments below!

Valentine's Day Beauty Products

Valentine's Beauty ProductsWe all know that Valentine's Day is just around the corner( but there's still so much to do!) Today, I will be showing you some of my recommended beauty products, along with introducing my new favorite YouTuber! I promise you that next week I will have Valentine's Day outfits!

It's that time of year again, and for those of you that are at home, don't worry, because I believe that love will tell you where to go. Girl's tend to be the most excited, as they are already making plans. However, we all make those mistakes. Don't you worry, because this year, we are going to prevent it, along with being prepared and extra glamorous.

To start of with nail polish, Valentine's day is all about the inner girl in yourself, and all the elegance than we own. Pastels are ideal colors, since they are light colors and gentle ones. Using a bold color  will change the whole day. I think that Valentine's Day is where we all travel back in time where we went through that phase in tutus and had to have everything pink.

For this video, I selected one by cutepolish. Now, I know many of us know her, and in case if you are wondering, she is not the Youtuber I am talking about. I chose this video because I just love the plaid look with the heart, which reminded me of every aspect of Valentine's Day.

One girl should always carry around some perfume. Perfume makes a person smell better, and sometime's even more confident. It's great to find a perfume you love, and I have to say I love Chanel Chance. If you want to find some tips on perfume, I found this awesome video by Michelle Phan.

Michelle Phan has over 2.5 million subscribers, and well over 600,000,000 video views. She started her channel in 2006, and has been blossoming ever since, However, I take inspiration from her since she is so down to earth and she's got this amazing personality. She always knows how to relate to viewers, and she does all sorts of stuff from DI Y's to outfit ideas. Michelle Phan also films all of the video's on Lancome's website. Subscribe to Michelle Phan 's Channel.

With lipsticks, go for that Barbie like bubblegum pink, or that deep red. I really love light pinks and the one I have here, reminds me of bubblegum. To find out what type of red lipstick fits you, here's a video. I think that red lipsticks aren't so easy to pull of, since t's a very bold color. If you don't know the right tips, it won' t look so normal. I recommend carrying one of these lipsticks in your purse, since it can instantly save you at a party.

Before you think of putting anything on your lips, make sure they are moisturized! Nothing's more unattractive than a flaky pout, and all you need is a lip balm, which is super inexpensive. Also, sometimes you don't need lipstick when you have lip balm on.

An interesting idea I found for blush was hot chocolate! Can you really believe it? Well, you're going to have to refrain from eating what's on your face, but it's very simple. It's worth a try, and I recommend doing it, since if you change your mind, you've got a cup of hot chocolate to enjoy!

Hope I helped you guys! Comment on your favorite beauty product, or any you recommend for Valentine's Day!

Recommended Beauty Products

So, since I've go some time on my hands, I decided to do a post on all of my favorite lotions, perfumes, and body sprays. I'm not that into make up, but I do take lotions, perfumes, and other things seriously. Beauty Products I use
Did you know that Snow actually has ultraviolet rays? Wearing sunscreen in the winter may seem crazy, but it's not. I don't like being tan, and I have to admit I burn to easily in the sun. As I told you in My Best Of 2012 Post , I mentioned that I love Clarins, since it can also deal with breakouts and it works great if you have wrinkles. I love this one, and it's sort of weird, but I also like the smell. Before I bought the Clarins one, I used my Neautrogena, which was also fantastic, and it served as my best friend during the summer.

For lotions, I love bath and body work's Paris Amour. It's a heavenly smell, and it's inexpensive. It smells a little sweet with a blend of floral, but the best part is that it's really moisturizing. I also love Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Lotion. I actually got this as a present for Christmas in 2011, and I absolutely loved it. It smells like a blend of roses and plums.

You can't go anywhere without perfume.  Of course, I find that I'm really tempted into smelling every single one, but the thing is, once you smell a lot, your nose can't sense which one is which. They will just all see to smell the same. Of course, I love the classic J'adore by Dior, which just has a lovely floral and sweet scent. I'm terrible at describing perfumes, but I have to say you'll love it. I think that his can be worn on any occasion, which is perfect for all ages. Another perfume I love is Chanel Chance. I was tempted to like Chanel No.5, but it just didn't smell right. I remember reading all about it and how famous it was, but I didn't think it was as good as Chanel Chance. I think that this is perfect for spring and summer, because it gives you that fresh air feeling!

For body mists, you can't go wrong with Love, Love, Love by Bath and body works, or as I like to say it Lovex3. I have the lotion, and the truth is, I'm not quite fond of it. For some apparent reason, I liked the mist better. Mists are perfect for Gym, since the scent isn't too heavy and the bottles aren't made out of glass. I also love Love Spell, which I also got for Christmas in 2011. This one has a more dark and Plum is heavily associated in this. The scents pretty good though, and you'll love it!

I fell in love with body butters two years ago, when I bought one from Victoria's Secret. I believe it was discontinued, but I just loved how it felt when you applied it, since it was so soft. I find it even better than lotion. When I finally decided to buy another one, I got it from the Body Shop. The Body Shop's stuff is all made out of organic and natural ingredients, and I think the store is amazing. Also, if you prefer natural shampoo, they have the best deals. Anyway, the one I own smells highly of oranges, which makes me so hungry. The scent is also very bright and it seems like it'll get your mind going and start off fresh. The funny thing is that I love all things Orange, since I remember when I was in art class in 1st grade. My teacher had scented markers, and I think I had orange ink all over my nose every time. That's how much I love oranges.

Nail time: Why not buff up your nails? I love nail polish, and I know a friend who has the coolest nail blog.http://jpneonblue.blogspot.com is your number one destination for nails since she has great videos and the instructions are easy to follow. My favorite colors are mademoiselle by Essie, and Too too hot, also by Essie. If I'm attending a formal event, I slap on some neutral and elegant colors like this. If I'm feeling bold and trendy, I'll go with a bright red. I also think that these are basic must haves for a girl, so I recommend getting them. Special tip: Add some olive oil to your nails at night, to give them more strength and to make them healthy.

Special thanks to Polyvore, (a great collage website) and my friend Janhavi for having an awesome nail blog! Thanks for the badge!
